Ben Webster is still alive. the american sax player who spent the last years of his human life under the protection of the Copenhagen little mermaid is finding a spiritual asylum in the playing of the disciple Jakob Dinesen. The danish player is not arriving from nowhere… At 46 years old the tenor has won all the prices in his country , is featured on recording of such musicians as Steve Swallow, Paul Motian, Eddie Gomez, Nasheet Waits…the velvet sound, full of tenderness, in permanent research of melody is taking off but never loose the anchorage in tradition.
